Case Study The Willows Bed & Breakfast YR 1910 Historical Site Cascade Development Construction and Septic Project:
Pipe Finding with Underground Surveyor Apparatus(USA)

Objectives:

  • Map septic tank lines to "Y" connection from house and guest house.
  • Locate old Septic tank for connection to septic input from main to new holding tank.
  • Locate direction of electrical primary wiring from barn to guest house in-ground.
  • Locate 3" irrigation main line to water valve source.
  • Locate sprinkler system to find possible leak in series because water pressure is low from main valve start and then progresses to more pressure at the last of the sprinkler line.
  • Find difference between main well irrigation water and backup well water system.
  • Map Infiltrator system series located at bottom of sprinkler irrigation for drainage efficiency or overflow.

Test one

Start from Septic cleanout and follow to "Y" connection and then after to original tank. Dig with backhoe on targeted "Y" section until signs of pipes are found. After first cleanout near "Y" was found slower process of excavation is taken with hand-digging and 8 foot breaker bar to find possible targets.

Test Two

Connection to "Y" with new septic tank will abandon old tank and retain original flow of waste to tank and leech lines. Locate original tank to determine best virgin ground conditions for new septic tank.

Test Three

Locate 3" irrigation main line to water valve source. Scan with USA in live mode and 20" sensor showed PVC large line as a strait red line compared to background colors. When off line, red color stopped and went back to background color. Found valve box and multiple sprinkler lines running from same line across road and into irrigation field.
